I am running for the Park District Board because:
Leisure time plays a vital role in people’s lives. I witnessed the power of recreation as an active user of La Grange’s parks growing up, and later as a resident in Europe, where time to pursue the outdoors is so important that children have a two-week “sports holiday.” Now I hope to use my insider and outsider perspectives on the world of recreation, along with my professional experience in management, to improve every resident’s quality of life by beautifying their green spaces, implementing programs that represent an even wider range of interests, and ensuring that the valuable public spaces we own as citizens live up to their fullest potential.
